Colorguard and Winterguard
The Eden Prairie Colorguard is an integral part of the Eagle Marching Band. Using choreography and props, the Colorguard adds a dramatic visual flair to the show. Flags, rifles and sabres are used to tell the story of the band show.
The Eden Prairie Winterguard is the indoor version of the Colorguard. Their show is set to recorded music rather than to the Marching Band show. Winterguard has its own circuit of competitions, running from early February through mid-April culminating at the North Star Circuit regional Championships and WGI World Championships.
The Eden Prairie Colorguard and Winterguard are open to students in grades 7 – 12 and are under the direction of coaches Jared Peterson and Paige Holtan. You can contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The Eden Prairie Junior Guard made its debut in 2016. We now have a new Winterguard classification called Flagline, which is open to all students in grades 7-12.
