Winter Drumline

Being part of an ensemble that competes at Winter Guard International (WGI) and Minnesota Percussion Association (MPA) events offers students a unique opportunity to learn, perform, and compete in the constantly evolving and challenging activities. While competition is a part of the process, personal growth for the participants is the ultimate goal. Each group offers a unique combination of education, life experience, and tradition, sure to leave a positive, life-long impression on your child. At EPHS students will have the opportunity to continue growth and development in: teamwork, communication skills, work ethic, accountability, leadership, musical development ensemble skills, technique, performance, and group first.

He has also worked with many programs throughout the Midwest such as Minnesota Brass Inc., Waconia High School and the Colts. Craig is a staff composer/arranger for JKS Music, and serves on the board of directors for the Minnesota Percussion Association. Snare Tech: Kyle Tsuchiya                                                                                                                   At a glance, Kyle Tsuchiya is just a skinny, Asian kid with a head that is disproportionately large, but he’s much more than just that (or at least, he thinks). Kyle is a recent graduate from Eden Prairie High School (Class of 2014) and served as a captain and snare section leader for the Eagle Marching Band and the Winter Drumline. He also was a section leader in the Wind Ensemble, played drum set for the Jazz I ensemble, participated in several honor bands (including one that performed in Carnegie Hall), and was the John Philip Sousa award winner in 2014. Kyle is now an honors student at the University of Minnesota, and has continued his involvement in music and the marching arts with his involvement with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, the Minnesota Brass Indoor Drumline, and the University of Minnesota Marching Band. He is honored to help give Eden Prairie Drumline members as good (if not, better) of an experience in this program as he had. Kyle is a lover of life. When asked about why he enjoys life so much, he simply stated, “It’s hard to complain about anything when you live a block away from Chipotle.” He could not be more excited to be working with some of the best staff and best kids in the world, and he looks forward to what will most certainly be a fantastic season. Kyle would like to thank his parents for their undying love and support
